COVID 19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy has allowed us to reopen our business. However, we are still encouraged to offer virtual remote appointments, but if you feel you require to be seen face-to-face, we can accommodate you but we are asking all patients to read our new policy.
Due to COVID-19, we have adopted a new policy which all patients must follow. Anybody who does not follow these guidelines will be refused treatment. The safety of our patients is paramount.
We accept that it is impossible to totally eliminate the risk of virus transmission, however we have put in place the following procedures to try and minimise the risks as far as possible.
CLINIC
For all patients entering the clinic, the following protocols must be adhered to:
-
Please be aware that the waiting room is out of use during this time. We urge you to ring the buzzer up to 1 minute before your appointment time, no earlier.
-
Upon entry to the clinic, the patient must remove any gloves worn and use the hand sanitizer which will be placed by the door. Please try to avoid touching anything in the communal area of the clinic, including door handles.
-
Please inform us if you or someone in your household has been unwell in the 14 days before your appointment. If you have to cancel due to COVID related issues, normal cancellation policy will be waived and you will not be charged.
-
Patients over the age of 16 are expected to attend their appointment alone, unless permission has been given by the physiotherapist, prior to the appointment. If both rooms are being used, the physiotherapist will be checking the exit route is clear before allowing the patient to exit.
-
The physiotherapist will wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, including a face mask, gloves and apron.
-
Both patient and physiotherapist must wear face masks at all times whilst in the clinic. If you do not have a face mask, you will be asked to purchase one from the clinic for £1.
-
Following every assessment, the physiotherapist will clean down all equipment and door handles. They will also replace their PPE for the next patient.
-
All payments must be done by either online banking or contactless card payment. No cash payments will be accepted. Due to the extra time between patients and the cost of PPE, our sessions will be £39.
HOME VISITS
For all home visits, the following protocol must be adhered to:
-
The physiotherapist will arrive wearing full PPE.
-
Both physiotherapist and patient should wash their hands or use hand sanitizer prior to any treatment taking place.
-
Only the patient and physiotherapist should be present; we ask all other family members to obey the 2 metre distancing rule.
-
The patient must use a face mask and must keep this on throughout the assessment and treatment. This can be provided for £1 from your physiotherapist if you do not have one.
-
All payments must be done by either online banking or contactless card payment. No cash payments will be accepted. Home visits are charged at £55 per session.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
